quote:
“Secularism breeds narcissism, there is nothing higher to live for, so you live for you”
Today i want to start with the word” secularism “. This word is the root cause of the idea that buttressed the false narrative that india is a country without any faith , a country that was the repository of millenia of wisdom of sanatana dharma was reduced to as if it was a place of faithlessness & adharma and where individulas think only of their personal aspirations and give up any effort to find the ultimate truth.

If i go by definitions of “secular ” it would mean,”a doctrine that , rejects religion and religious considerations”. And if i go by few synonyms it would mean “atheism, disbelief, faithlessness, worldliness and agnosticism” Let us see what the preamble of indian constitution says now …

“WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens JUSTICE, social, economic and political; LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship; EQUALITY of status and of opportunity; and to promote among…”
in November 15, 1948, during a meaningful debate in the constituent assembly Prof K T Shah wanted to introduce this word , “secular ” in the then to be passed constitution. Nehruji and others did not allow that through. what was rejected then got inserted by “The 42nd amendment to Constitution of India, officially known as The Constitution (Forty-second amendment) Act, 1976, was enacted during the Emergency (25 June 1975 – 21 March 1977) by the Indian National Congress government under Indira Ghandhi”
Emergency itself was anti constitutional, anti people, anti freedom of expression and in that fearful atmosphere where all free speech & thought was curtailed and using the brute power derived from docile members of parliament and the communists, the 42nd amendment bill was introduced and passed in the pretext of safeguarding the common men and women of india .what a extrodinarly duplitious woman she was!The janata party which latter came to power promised to restore the constitution to the previous status to 42nd amendment and failed to do so and india is paying the price for that till date .Now going back to that amended constitution and take the words , “secure to all its citizens JUSTICE, social, economic and political; LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship” and let us ponder over the specific words “Belief, faith & worship”, Now a state by its constitution that claims it rejects religion and religious considerations also claims it is the guardian of that and claims it will secure the belief.faith and worship to its citizens.Compounding this contradiction so many utterences of supremecourt has given interpretaions to the word ,secular in different judgements .Empowering various stakehoders to use & misuse the , “secular “word to suit their purposes
The Irony of it, communists and hoardes of left leaning intelectuals who deny any faith and any god quote this word secular to demonize so called right wing parties that their faith is presenting a threat to the the unity and diversity of the nation.Worst still, muslims who claim there is no other god than their god ALLAH and christians who claim those who doesnt follow the good shepard as heritics fall back on the same word secular to paint the majority hindu community as a threat to them.
There is a clever argument from the left and minority intelectuals that the pre 21st March 1977 constitution is based on the simple premise of , “justice, equality and liberty for all citizens across gender, caste and religion “and hence inherently it was ireligeous and even without the word secular it was that is nothing short of ingeneous. Hindus who form the majority of the nations population are the only ones who dont fall back on this word secular to further any argument for or against .
This secular word served no other purpose other than to divide the country on the faultlines of faith and also was cleverly used by openly communal entities to pit the minorities against majority for electroal purposes. From the date of independence to the date on wich the 42nd ammendement was passed there was no secular word that secured the free existannce of other faiths in the country. Yet they flourished without any hinderance from the majority community of Hindus.Has the time not come to consider to delete it from the constitution or at best to rewrite the indian constitution on the basis of cultureal ethos of the country drawing upon the thoussands of years of wisdom and not on the basis of western jurisprudence and thought process ?
This secular word is so incompatiabel to fabric of the hindu culture, which culture is also the same for muslims, christians and others eventhough they may profess to other belief system and deny they have anything common with the majority community other than their nationality and the land they live in.

HEY RAM !
